Jagrut Kotecha Appointed India Chief at PepsiCo

PepsiCo India has appointed Jagrut Kotecha as the new CEO. He is currently serving as the Chief Commercial Officer for PepsiCo Africa, Middle East, and South Africa (AMESA). This transition follows Ahmed El Sheikh, the previous CEO, being assigned to oversee the company’s operations in the Middle East after completing a seven-year tenure with the India team.

Jagrut Kotecha, having joined in 1994, brings expertise as a sales and brand manager, having held comprehensive profit and loss responsibilities. In 2018, Kotecha served as the Vice President of PepsiCo India, overseeing the revamping and transformation of the company’s products, specifically Lay’s and Kurkure, to make them more tailored for the Indian market. Additionally, he played a key role in the introduction of another snack, Doritos, in 2017.
