Heidelberg Cement India Appoints Ravi Arora as CS

The Board of Directors of HeidelbergCement India Limited has approved the appointment of Ravi Arora as Company Secretary and Compliance Officer, with effect from June 18, 2024. He will replace Rajesh Relan, who will be relieved of his duties with effect from June 17, 2024.

The Board of Directors has also approved the appointment of Suresh Chandra Dube as Head Works (Damoh) in place of Sunil Kumar, who has been assigned a new role within the organisation at the corporate level.

Ravi Arora, 56, is a member of the Institute of Company Secretaries of India (ICSI), a law graduate from CCS University, and has an MBA from Symbiosis (Pune). He has over 33 years of experience in Corporate Laws, Secretarial Matters and legal matters. Arora had worked at Radico Khaitan Limited, Asian Alloys Limited, and Indian Magnetics Limited. He has extensive experience in the field of secretarial and legal matters involving conducting board meetings and annual general meetings, SEBI regulatory compliance, preparation of annual reports, mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, strategic alliances, private equity, loan documentation and security creation, handling of IPOs, handling of RBI matters, share purchase agreements, service supply agreements, franchise agreements, etc. His last assignment was with Jay Bharat Maruti Limited (JBM Group) (listed at NSE and BSE), in which he has worked for a span of 18 years and has held various positions, including Company Secretary and Compliance Officer.

Suresh Chandra Dube, 51, earned his M.Sc. (Chemistry) from Kumaun University, Nainital (Uttarakhand), in 1996. He has over 26 years of experience in operating and managing integrated cement plants, grinding plants, captive power plants, and mining activities. He started his career in 1996 with Damodar Cement Works of ACC as a Management Trainee. He served ACC Limited for 26 years, and during the course of his service, he has worked in various senior positions at seven different units of ACC. His last assignment was with Jamul Plant of ACC as its plant head.
