Vijaylaxmi Joshi, Dr. Manoj Vaish & Arun Jain Retire As Independent Directors of GHCL Textiles
Vijaylaxmi Joshi, Dr. Manoj Vaish, and Arun Kumar Jain completed their tenure as Independent Directors of GHCL Textiles Limited and hence ceased the company’s directorship with effect from March 06, 2025.
Vijaylaxmi Joshi is a 1980 batch IAS officer of the Gujarat cadre with experience in CSR, finance, Corporate Governance, and sustainability. She has held positions at the state and central levels, including Joint and Additional Secretary in the Commerce Ministry and Secretary in the Ministry of Panchayati Raj. She is a Director on the Board of Adani Enterprises Limited and a member of the Audit Committee. She was an officer on special duty for the Swachh Bharat Abhiyan in the Ministry of Drinking Water and Sanitation and served as Managing Director of Gujarat Mineral Development Corporation Ltd. She chairs the Nomination & Remuneration Committee.
Dr. Manoj Vaish has experience in finance, forex, and securities markets, having worked with BSE, NSDL Database Management Ltd, Dun & Bradstreet, and Deutsche Bank. His expertise includes financial education, risk management, credit ratings, and e-governance. He serves as a Director on the Board of Mirae Asset Trustee Company Private Limited. Dr. Vaish holds a B.Com. (Hon.) from S.R.C.C., Delhi, an M.B.A. in Finance from F.M.S., Delhi University, and a Ph.D. in his field.
Arun Kumar Jain holds M.Sc. and LL.B. degrees and served in the Indian Revenue Service (IRS), holding positions in the Department of Revenue, including Chairman of the Central Board of Direct Taxes. His experience includes taxation, accounts, finance, governance, CSR, strategic management, public advocacy, capital markets, and EHS. He was Chairman of the Risk & Sustainability Committee and a member of the Audit & Compliance Committee and the Stakeholders Relationship Committee.
