Urvashi Saxena Joins Inox Wind As Independent Director

Urvashi Saxena has been appointed as an Independent Director on the Board of Inox Wind Limited with effect from April 6, 2025, subject to the approval of the members of the company.

Saxena is a retired Indian Revenue Service officer who held senior positions across the Income Tax Department in Mumbai, Delhi, and Pune. She was the first woman to serve as Deputy Director of Investigation, overseeing income tax raids nationwide, and later became the first woman Chief Commissioner of Income Tax in Mumbai. After retirement, she joined the Income Tax Settlement Commission, where she served as Vice Chairperson and later as Chairperson in Delhi. She currently practises law as a partner in a Mumbai-based firm, focusing on taxation and corporate matters. Saxena holds a postgraduate degree from the University of Allahabad and a law degree from the University of Lucknow. She has received multiple awards for her service and achievements.
