Triveni Turbines’ Independent Director Shailendra Bhandari is set to retire

Shailendra Bhandari will complete his current term of five years as an Independent Director of Triveni Turbines on May 19, 2024. He will cease to be an Independent Director and Chairperson or Member of all the Committees of the Board of Directors with effect from May 20, 2024.

Shailendra Bhandari started his journey as a Probationary Officer with Tata Administrative Services in July 1980. He also served as Founding Head of Tata’s entry into the Private Equity space. He was the MD and CEO of Centurion Bank of Punjab. He has also served as a member of the managing committee of the Indian Banks Association. He was on the managing committee of the Bombay Chamber of Commerce & Industry, and was nominated to the managing committee of ASSOCHAM. He has also worked as MD and CEO of Prudential ICICI Asset Management. He was part of the core team to set up HDFC Bank as Treasurer and Executive Director. He is an ex-Citi banker, where he spent twelve years in several roles in India and overseas. He retired as the MD and CEO of ING Vysya Bank. He has completed a master’s degree (management) from IIM (Ahmedabad).
