Titan’s Independent Director Pradyumna Vyas retired

Pradyumna Vyas has completed his term as an Independent Director and consequently ceased to be a Director of Titan Company Limited, with effect from March 25, 2024.

Pradyumna Vyas has over 36 years of experience in design, including teaching and professional roles. He served as Director of India’s National Institute of Design (NID) from 2009 to 2019, is currently the President-Elect of the World Design Organisation, and is also a Senior Advisor at the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII). At NID, he played a key role in its elevation to Institute of National Importance status by Parliament and helped establish four new NIDs across India. He co-founded the India Design Council and initiated the India Design Mark in collaboration with the Japan Institute of Design Promotion. He has received numerous awards, including the World Education Congress Award for Outstanding Contribution to Education, a Lifetime Achievement Award from Times Education Icons, and being named a Good Design Fellow by the Japan Institute of Design Promotion. He holds a Master’s in Industrial Design from IIT Bombay and was awarded an Honorary Master of Arts degree from the University for the Creative Arts, UK. Additionally, he was appointed as a Distinguished Professor at the Shanghai Academy of Fine Arts in 2019.
