Texmaco Rail & Engineering Appoints U V Karnath as Executive Director

The Board of Directors of Texmaco Rail and Engineering has appointed Udyavar Vittal Karnath as the Executive Director of Texmaco Rail & Engineering Limited with effect from February 1, 2024, for a period of three years. Subject to the approval of the shareholders. He replaced Damodar Hazarimal Kela, from his advancing age with effect from February 1, 2024. The Board also reappointed Virendra Sinha and Rusha Mitra as Independent Directors with effect from February 17, 2024, for a period of three years each. Subject to the approval of the shareholders.

Udyavar Vittal Karnath was a founder director of Bright Power Projects (India) Private Limited. After completion of Electrical Engineering degree in the year 1986 from MIT-Manipal, Karnath has acquired more than 30 years of experience in the field of Railway Electrification business and other electrical engineering service industry, well recognised in the field. He has been associated with the Company for the last seven years, during which he has gained experience in executing all Railway business including track laying and S&T business. He is an Electrical Engineering graduate.
