Syngene International Appoints Nilanjan Roy as Non-Executive Independent Director

The Board of Directors of Syngene International Limited has approved the appointment of Nilanjan Roy as an Additional Director (Independent, Non-Executive) with effect from April 1, 2024. Subject to the approval of the shareholders.

Nilanjan Roy is a Chartered Accountant from the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) and stands as a noted figure in the realm of finance with a comprehensive background cultivated across various geographies, including India, Europe, and the United States. Roy’s distinguished 33-year career encompasses significant roles such as Chief Financial Officer (CFO) at Infosys, Global CFO at Bharti Airtel, and senior positions at Unilever, demonstrating his leadership prowess and adaptability across different business landscapes. With a deep understanding of financial intricacies, his expertise spans a wide array of domains, encompassing shareholder value creation, Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG), Corporate Governance, Risk Management, Treasury, Mergers and Acquisitions, Investor Relations, Taxation, Financial Accounting, and reporting.He has rich industry experience in technology, telecommunications, and consumer products. He holds a Bachelor of Commerce (Hons.) degree from Delhi University.
