SUUTI Nominee Rahul Jain Resigns from the ITC Board

On May 16, 2024, Rahul Jain resigned from the post of Non-Executive Director of ITC due to a change in his posting in the Government of India. He represented the Specified Undertaking of the Unit Trust of India being a Joint Secretary in the Department of Investment and Public Asset Management, Ministry of Finance, Government of India. Jain has now been appointed as joint secretary in the Sixteenth Finance Commission under the Department of Economic Affairs.

Rahul Jain joined the ITC Board as a Non-Executive Director in January 2024 representing the Specified Undertaking of the Unit Trust of India (SUUTI). Jain began his tenure with the Indian Administrative Service in 2005 (Madhya Pradesh). Over an eighteen-year career, he has held roles such as District Collector and Director of the MP Town and Country Planning Department. His professional background includes Rural and Urban Development, Urban Planning, Tourism Promotion, Revenue Administration, Law and Order Management, Disaster Response, Regulatory Administration, and Overseeing Elections across five districts in MP. He has also served on the boards of Rewa City Transport Services Limited, Bhopal Smart City Development Corporation Limited, and Indore Smart City Development Limited, among others. He holds a Master’s Degree in Commerce. He is a Chartered Accountant by training.
