R. Sridharan Reappointed As Independent Director At Nelcast Board; A. Balasubramanian As Director

R. Sridharan has been reappointed as Non-Executive Independent Director of Nelcast Limited for the second term of 5 (five) consecutive years, effective May 23, 2027, subject to the approval of the shareholders.

Meanwhile, A. Balasubramanian has offered himself for reappointment as Director, subject to the approval of the shareholders.

Additionally, D. Sesha Reddy has retired as Director of the company upon completion of his tenure.

Sridharan, aged about 75, graduated from the University of Madras and joined the State Bank of India (SBI) as a Probationary Officer in 1972. During his 39-year career at SBI, he handled assignments in India and overseas across multiple banking functions. He later served as Managing Director (MD) and Group Executive for Associates and Subsidiaries at SBI, where he supervised six subsidiary banks. Sridharan also served as MD of Clearing Corporation of India Ltd. (CCIL) and its subsidiary Clearcorp Dealing Systems India Ltd. CCIL functions as the central counterparty for transactions in government securities, money markets, foreign exchange, and derivatives markets in India. He was also a Whole-Time Director at Legal Entity Identifier India Ltd.

Balasubramanian, aged about 77, worked with Punjab National Bank (PNB) for nearly 30 years in various roles and retired as Chief General Manager. During his tenure at the bank, he handled assignments related to banking operations, finance, and administration. Before joining Punjab National Bank, Balasubramanian worked with companies under the Tata Group for about four years. His professional experience spans corporate management, financial operations, and banking administration across both public sector banking and private sector business environments. He has around 45 years of experience across banking, finance, and management functions. He holds a bachelor’s degree in science and is a chartered accountant.
