Preeti Lobana Appointed As New Country Manager & VP For Google India

Preeti Lobana has been appointed as the new Country Manager and Vice President (VP) for Google India, succeeding Sanjay Gupta, who became President of APAC in July 2024.

Lobana has more than 30 years of expertise in the finance and technological industries, most recently as the vice president of Google. In her new position, she will spearhead Google’s initiatives to use innovations like Gemini 2.0 to boost digital inclusion and innovation in India. Gupta emphasised Lobana’s customer-focused strategy and market knowledge while expressing confidence in her leadership. Having worked for big businesses like American Express and NatWest in the past, Lobana expressed her passion for using AI and technology to create value and propel economic growth.
