NCLT Appoints 24 New Judicial And Technical Members, Including 5 Women Members

The National Company Law Tribunal (NCLT) has appointed 24 new judicial and technical members to address corporate disputes, effective January 07, 2025.

The appointments made for a term of five years or until members reach the age of 65 aim to strengthen the tribunal’s capacity to handle corporate disputes. Among those appointed are Justice Jyotsna Sharma as a judicial member and Hariharan Neelakanta Iyer, currently with SEBI, as a technical member. Other appointees include Nilesh Sharma and Reena Sinha Puri. The new members include 11 judicial and 13 technical members, with five women among them. These appointments are expected to enhance the tribunal’s effectiveness in resolving corporate cases.
