Nasscom Chair Srikanth Velamakanni Joins Dr. Reddy’s Laboratories As Independent Director; Dr. K.P. Krishnan Reappointed
Srikanth Velamakanni has been appointed as an Independent Director (Additional Director) of Dr. Reddy’s Laboratories Limited, effective July 1, 2026, subject to the approval of shareholders.
Meanwhile, Dr. K.P. Krishnan has been reappointed as an Independent Director for a second term of five consecutive years, effective January 7, 2027, subject to approval of the shareholders.
Velamakanni is the Co-Founder and Group Chief Executive Officer (GCEO) of Fractal, an artificial intelligence (AI) company listed in India. He is known for his work in the technology and AI sectors and has been involved in building data and AI-driven business solutions. He also serves as Chairperson of Nasscom and is a Founder-Trustee of Plaksha University. His work has focused on the use of artificial intelligence and technology-led systems across industries, with an emphasis on expanding the role of technology in business and education.
Dr. Krishnan is a former IAS officer with 37 years of experience in public policy, economic governance, and regulatory reform across the Government of India, the Government of Karnataka, and the World Bank. During his public service career, he held positions including Secretary at the Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship, Additional and Special Secretary in the Ministries of Finance and Rural Development, and Secretary to the Prime Minister’s Economic Advisory Council. Dr. Krishnan has also worked in academia and public policy research. He has taught at the Indian Institute of Management Bangalore, the Indian School of Business, and Ashoka University. He also held the Bok Visiting Professorship at the University of Pennsylvania Law School and served as IEPF Chair Professor at the National Council of Applied Economic Research.
