Mahindra EPC Appoints Ami Goda And Viswanathan Kapilanandan As Independent Directors
Mahindra EPC Irrigation Limited appointed Ami Goda and Viswanathan Kapilanandan as Additional Non-Executive Independent Directors with effect from June 4, 2024. S. Durgashankar is set to retire from the position of Non-Executive Non-Independent Director effective July 19, 2024.
Previously, he was the co-founder and co-CEO of Lumina Datamatics (and PreMedia Global), an ed-tech company employing over 2,000 people across the US, Europe, and India. In 2014, the company merged with the content technology division of Mumbai-based Datamatics Global Services. In 2016, he dedicated himself to the philanthropic cause of starting Krea University. Earlier in his career, Kapil Viswanathan worked in global sales for Tata Consultancy Services, spanning markets in Australia, Asia, the UK, and the US, and participated in the corporate think tank. He is the Managing Director of Enfield Agrobase, a social enterprise focused on organic agriculture and rural development. Kapil Viswanathan writes regular columns in business newspapers. He holds an MBA from Harvard Business School and an MS in Management Science and Engineering from Stanford University.
Ami Goda is Mahindra’s Chief Financial Officer (CFO) in the Farm Equipment Division at the moment. She has eighteen years of extensive and varied expertise, mainly in Corporate Finance. In the fields of Business Finance, Commercial Finance, Supply Chain Finance, Pricing, Deal Structuring, and Financial Planning, she has occupied positions of responsibility. She became Head of Financial Planning and Analysis at Mahindra & Mahindra. She worked with General Electric Renewable Energy for fourteen years, during which time she worked in several business areas, including Financial Services, Healthcare, Transportation, and Onshore Renewable Energy, as well as in Asia, Growth markets, and India.
Ami graduated from Narsee Monjee Institute of Management Studies (NMIMS) with a master’s degree in business administration (MBA).
