Nisaba Godrej Quits V.I.P. Industries’ Board due to “differing view”

Nisaba Godrej has tendered her resignation as an Independent Director of V.I.P. Industries Limited, with effect from June 3, 2024. Consequently, she shall also cease to be a member of the Nomination and Remuneration Committee of the company. In her resignation letter addressed to the Chair, she said, “As discussed, due to my differing views on leadership accountability and succession planning, I will be resigning from the Board.”

Currently, Nisaba Godrej is the Executive Chairperson of Godrej Consumer Products Limited and a Director of Godrej Agrovet Limited. She also serves as Independent Director on the Boards of Bharti Airtel and Mahindra and Mahindra Ltd.

She joined Godrej Consumer in 2000 as Executive Director; after that, she became Executive Chairperson of the company and later served as CEO and MD. She completed a Bachelor of Science (BSc) from Wharton School and an MBA from Harvard Business School.
