Welspun Corp Reappoints Manish Chokhani & Anjani Kumar Agrawal As Independent Directors
Welspun Corp Limited reappoints Manish Chokhani as Independent Director, effective February 2, 2027 and Anjani Kumar Agrawal as Independent Director, effective April 1, 2027.
Chokhani is a Director of Enam Holdings and Quadrillion Capital, and serves on the governing board of FLAME University. He is also a Non-Executive Director at Laxmi Organic Industries and an Independent Director at Welspun Corp, Chalet Hotels, Landmark Cars and Auxilo Finserv. He previously served on the boards of Shoppers Stop, Westlife Development, Zee Entertainment, Parksons Packaging and Axis Capital, where he also held the role of MD and CEO. Earlier, he was a senior partner at Enam Group, leading Enam Securities and founding Enam Asset Management. He also served as a senior advisor to TPG Global. His experience spans investment banking, asset management, corporate finance and board governance.
He holds an MBA from London Business School and a B.Com. from Sydenham College, and is a Chartered Accountant from the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India. He also completed an Executive Programme in Exponential Technologies at Singularity University in 2017.
Agrawal is the Founder of VFP Advisors and serves as an Independent Director on the boards of Hindalco Industries, UltraTech Cement, Welspun Corp, Vodafone Idea, Emami, Aditya Birla Sun Life Trustee and Evonith Steel. He previously held directorships at Firstsource Solutions and Hindustan Zinc, and chaired Thinkthrough Consulting. Earlier, he spent over 26 years at Ernst & Young (EY), holding senior leadership roles including Global Industry Lead for Metals, Global Clients Service Partner and National Leader for Risk Advisory. His experience spans business strategy, corporate governance, enterprise risk management and advisory services. He has also served as a visiting faculty member at the Indian School of Business and as an advisory committee member at NITI Aayog.
He is a national rank-holder Chartered Accountant and holds a B.Com. (Hons.) from St. Xavier’s College. He is also a Certified Internal Auditor (CIA) and has completed executive programmes in Advanced Business Strategy at INSEAD and Business Sustainability Management at the University of Cambridge.
