JPMorgan Hires Bank of America’s Richard Peacock to Lead Consumer and Retail M&A

JPMorgan Chase is set to appoint Richard Peacock, a senior mergers and acquisitions (M&A) banker from Bank of America, as its Global Head of Consumer and Retail M&A early next year.

Based in New York, Peacock will bring more than a decade of experience at Bank of America to his new role.

The appointment comes amid strong dealmaking activity on Wall Street and increased competition for senior banking talent. JPMorgan has also strengthened its investment banking leadership with appointments from Sycamore Partners and UBS.

JPMorgan ranked first in consumer and retail investment banking dealmaking in the first half of 2026 and throughout 2025, according to Dealogic. Meanwhile, Bank of America continues to invest in talent, reporting more than 40 new Managing Directors hires in its corporate and investment banking division this year.
