Government Appoints Faiz Ahmed Kidwai As DGCA Director General And Ashutosh Agnihotri As FCI Chairman

The government has made key appointments in various ministries, including Faiz Ahmed Kidwai as Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) Director General and Ashutosh Agnihotri as Food Corporation of India (FCI) Chairman, effective January 5, 2025.

The Department of Personnel and Training issued the order, approved by the Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC).

Faiz Ahmed Kidwai is a 1996-batch IAS officer of the Madhya Pradesh cadre. He has served as Additional Secretary in the Department of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare.

Ashutosh Agnihotri is a 1999-batch IAS officer of the Assam-Meghalaya cadre.

Other appointments include Akash Tripathi as Additional Secretary, the Ministry of Power; Kamal Kishore Soan as Mission Director of Jal Jeevan Mission; and Shubha Thakur as Additional Secretary of the Inter-State Council Secretariat.
