
Fortune Brands Appoints Jesse Singh As CEO; Interim CEO David Barry Appointed As COO & EVP
Fortune Brands Innovations has appointed Jesse Singh as its Chief Executive Officer (CEO), effective June 29, 2026. The appointment comes after activist investor Ed Garden joined Fortune Brands’ board in March and called for changes in the company’s leadership.
Fortune Brands, which owns brands including Master Lock, Moen, and SpringWell, also announced that interim CEO David Barry has been appointed Chief Operating Officer and Executive Vice President (COO & EVP).
Before joining Fortune Brands, Jesse Singh was CEO of The AZEK Company from 2016 to 2025, during which he led revenue growth, operational improvements, and business transformation. He previously spent 14 years at 3M in senior leadership roles across consumer products, healthcare, marketing, and software businesses. Earlier, he worked at General Electric, technology investment bank Dain Rauscher Wessels/RBC, and Arthur Andersen. He also serves on the Boards of Carlisle Companies and James Hardie Industries. He has more than 30 years of leadership experience across the building products, consumer, technology, and manufacturing sectors. Singh holds an MBA and a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering.
David Barry previously served as Interim CEO for three months and has held multiple leadership positions during his more than 10 years with the company. Before his current role, he was President of Security and Connected Products, overseeing the company’s security and connected technology businesses. He also served as Chief Financial Officer and Senior Vice President (CFO & SVP) of Finance and Investor Relations. Before joining Fortune Brands in 2015, Barry held senior finance roles at J.M. Huber Corporation. He holds a bachelor’s degree in classics from Davidson College and an MBA from the Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth.
