Delhivery Promotes Vani Venkatesh To Deputy CEO As Ajith Pai To Exit
Delhivery has promoted Chief Business Officer (CBO) Vani Venkatesh to Deputy Chief Executive Officer (Dy CEO) with immediate effect, while Chief Operating Officer (COO) Ajith Pai will leave the company on September 15, 2026. He will step down to pursue opportunities independently.
Vani Venkatesh joined Delhivery in February 2025 as CBO and Key Managerial Personnel (KMP). She oversees revenue, marketing and customer experience while working closely with the operations teams. Before joining Delhivery, she held leadership roles at Airtel, McKinsey & Company, Unilever and Abbott Nutrition. At Airtel, she served as CEO of Global Business and CEO of the Delhi-NCR region. She also served on the Boards of Nxtra by Airtel and Bharti Telemedia. Her experience covers business strategy, growth, operations, and customer management. She has more than 20 years of experience across telecom, consulting, consumer goods, and healthcare.
Ajith Pai, a Founding Member of Delhivery, has held several leadership roles, including Chief Financial Officer (CFO), before becoming COO. He joined Delhivery after working with Lodha Group, where he held roles including Associate, Manager of Contracts, General Manager (GM), and AVP, handling contracting, procurement, and materials functions across projects. Earlier, he worked as an Assistant Systems Engineer at Tata Consultancy Services (TCS). At Delhivery, Pai has contributed to shaping and executing the company’s logistics strategy, with a focus on technology and data science to improve operational efficiency. An alumnus of NIT Surathkal and IIM Bangalore, Pai holds a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering and a PGDM in general management.
