CSB Bank Appoints Biswamohan Mahapatra As Part-Time Chairman

Biswamohan Mahapatra has been appointed as Non-Executive Part-Time Chairman of CSB Bank Limited with effect from May 9, 2025.

Mahapatra is a former central banker with a career of approximately 33 years at the Reserve Bank of India (RBI), where he served in various capacities and retired as Executive Director in 2014. He contributed to several working groups and committees, representing the RBI as a member, chairman, or convenor. After retirement, he served as an advisor to the RBI on the bank licensing process and was the convenor of the Government of India Task Force for setting up the Resolution Corporation under the Indian Financial Code. He holds a master’s degree in science (management) from Arthur D. Little Management Education Institute, Cambridge, USA, an MBA in finance from the University of Delhi, and a master’s in English literature from Jawaharlal Nehru University.
