Credit Suisse COO Francesca McDonagh has quit
Chief Operating Officer of Credit Suisse Francesca McDonagh has quit. The development has been shared by the CEO Ulrich Korner in a memo to staff on Monday. Korner also announced a slew of organisational changes that will take effect from September 15th. Credit Suisse was acquired by UBS group around three months back in an emergency takeover.
Prior to joining Credit Swiss Francesca led Bank of Ireland from 2017 to 2022. She was widely credited for pushing the company towards being the first Irish bank to return fully to private ownership after the financial crisis. She was also appreciated for successfully leading the Bank of Ireland through the pandemic.
Some media reports suggested that Francesca McDonagh may take over as the new CEO of Nat West Bank in January.
