Canara Bank Appoints Rakesh Kashyap As Deputy MD Of NABARD

Canara Bank has appointed Rakesh Kashyap as Deputy Managing Director (Dy MD), National Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development (NABARD) with effect from the taking over of charge of the post.

Most recently, Kashyap was Chief General Manager (CGM) and Group Chief Compliance Officer (GCCO), heading the bank’s Compliance and Risk-Based Supervision Wing. He has also served as Regional Head in Noida and South Mumbai, led the Industrial Financial Branch in Noida and the MSME Hub in Agra, and headed the Financial Inclusion Vertical. He was Chairman of Andhra Pragati Grameen Bank for more than three years. Kashyap is a banking professional with nearly three decades of experience across operations, administration, compliance, and financial inclusion. He began his career with Canara Bank as a Scale I officer and went on to serve in leadership roles across six states and the National Capital Region (NCR).
