Banking Veteran Alok Misra Resigns As Independent Director Of Mrs. Bectors Food
Alok Kumar Misra has resigned as an Independent Director of Mrs. Bectors Food Specialities Limited, effective August 27, 2024, due to pre-existing commitments and personal reasons.
A distinguished banker, Misra has held notable positions including General Manager (International) at Bank of India, Managing Director of Indo-Zambia Bank Ltd., and Executive Director at Canara Bank.
He also serves as an Independent Director of The Investment Trust of India Limited, where he chairs both the Audit Committee and the Nomination and Remuneration Committee. Additionally, he is a member of the Risk Management Committee, Stakeholder Relationship Committee, Management Committee, and Internal Finance Committee.
Misra holds a Master’s degree in Statistics, a Post-Graduate Diploma in Personnel Management from FMS, Delhi University, and the CAIIB qualification. He is a fellow member of the Certified Institute of Bankers of Scotland and the Zambian Institute of Bankers and an associate member of the Australasian Institute of Banking & Finance. He began his career as a probationary officer at Bank of India and has had a distinguished 38-year career in banking.
