Bajaj Finserv’s Madhur Bajaj ceases to be a Non-Executive Director

Madhur Bajaj has stepped down from the post of Non-Executive Director of Bajaj Finserv Limited on account of health reasons. He is the younger brother of the late Rahul Bajaj and uncle of Bajaj Finsrerv’s MD, Sanjiv Bajaj.

Bajaj has informed that he will not be offering himself for re-election at the ensuing annual general meeting. Accordingly, he will cease to be Non-Executive Director of the company at the ensuing annual general meeting scheduled to be held on Wednesday, July 24, 2024.

Madhur Bajaj holds the position of Director on the boards of several Bajaj Group companies, including Bajaj Housing Insurance, Bajaj Electricals, Bajaj Finance, and Bajaj Finserv. He is an alumnus of Doon School, Dehradun, and graduated with a B.Com. degree from Sydenham College, Bombay, in 1973. Additionally, he completed his MBA from the International Institute of Management Development, Lausanne, Switzerland, in 1979.

Recognising his outstanding contributions to enhancing human life, the International Friendship Society of India honoured Madhur with the ‘Vikas Rattan Award.’ From 1983 to 1993, during his tenure in Aurangabad, he spearheaded the development of a robust social infrastructure while establishing the Bajaj Auto facility. This comprehensive initiative involved initiatives such as Maha Expo, the Kamalnayan Bajaj Hospital, Nath Valley School, and the organization of various cultural events under Kalasagar. These efforts facilitated the settlement of high-calibre executives in Aurangabad.

Madhur has previously held prominent positions such as President of the Society of Indian Automobile Manufacturers, Confederation of Indian Industry (Western Region), Apex Chamber of Pune, and Chamber of Marathwada Industries and Agriculture. Currently, he serves as a National Council Member of the Confederation of Indian Industry.
