Atul Appoints Praveen Kadle as Independent Director

The Board of Directors of Atul Limited has appointed Praveen Kadle as an Independent Director of the company with effect from May 1, 2024, for five years.

Furthermore, the Board reappointed Gopi Kannan Thirukonda as whole-time Director of the company with effect from October 17, 2024, for three years.

All the changes are subject to the approval of the members.

Praveen Kadle has about three decades of experience in finance, management, legal, merger and acquisition, and strategic planning. He has held various senior positions in Tata Group and has served as a Founding Managing Director of Tata Capital Ltd. for almost a decade and as an Executive Director (Corporate Affairs) and Chief Financial Officer of Tata Motors Ltd. He is a Managing Director of Prachetas Capital Pvt. Ltd. and a Non-Executive Director of Tata International Ltd. He holds a degree in commerce from the University of Mumbai. He is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India, the Institute of Cost and Management Accountants of India, and the Institute of Company Secretaries of India.

Gopi Kannan Thirukonda joined the company on October 29, 1993, and has been a whole-time Director since October 17, 2014. He is a member of the Stakeholders’ Relationship Committee and the Risk Management Committee of the Board. Kannan has 38 years of experience in various capacities and currently heads Assurance, Finance, Information Technology, and Legal functions. He is a Fellow Member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India, the Institute of Cost and Management Accountants of India, and the Institute of Company Secretaries of India, and holds a postgraduate diploma in management.
