Ashwani Ghai appointed as Independent Director of Mahindra & Mahindra Financial Services

Mahindra & Mahindra Financial Services Ltd has appointed Ashwani Ghai as the Non-Executive Independent Director of the Company on 20th June 2023. Ghai has extensive and broad professional experience in LIC of India, spanning functions and locations, as well as Board level experience in LIC Housing Finance Ltd and LICHFL Financial Services Ltd. In his more than 35 years of experience at LIC of India and LIC Housing Finance, he has worked in a variety of functions, including marketing, human resources, investments, fund management, enterprise risk management, organisational restructuring, compliance, business strategy, and so on. He was also a part of the core team that rolled out the LIC’s IPO. Before joining the LIC of India as Additional Director, he held a number of positions including Chief Operating Officer and Whole-time Director of LIC Housing Finance Ltd.

Ashwani Ghai holds a Post Graduate Executive Program (PGEP) in economics from IIM Ahmedabad and is a recognised Fellow of the Insurance Institute of India (FIII).
