Arihant Superstructures announced Resignation of Chandra Iyengar

Chandra Iyengar the Woman Independent Director of Arihant Superstructures Limited Resigned from her post on 29th July 2023.

Chandra Iyengar is an officer of the 1973 batch of the Indian Administrative Services(IAS). Over the course of her career, she has led several departments in the Government of Maharashtra and the Government of India, such as Women & Child Development, Higher & Technical Education, Rural Development and Health. As the Secretary for Women & Child Development for the Government of Maharashtra, she was responsible for drafting and implementing the first-ever state policy for women’s empowerment in India. Prior to retiring in 2010, Iyengar was the Additional Chief Secretary – Home Department for the Government of Maharashtra. She has also served as Chairperson for the Maharashtra Energy Regulatory Commission. Iyengar holds a Bachelor of Arts from Ethiraj College, Chennai and a Master of Arts from Miranda House, New Delhi. She resides in Mumbai.
