TCS announced Leadership changes

TCS announced the change in management on 29th July 2023.

According to the information shared with the stock exchanges company has designated Harrick Vin, Shankar Narayanan, V Rajanna, Siva Ganesan, Ashok Pai, and Reguraman (Regu) Ayyaswamy as Senior Management Personnel (SMPs). The organisation structure has also been changed for better reporting and customer relations.

Changes were expected ever since K Krithivasan took over as the CEO earlier this year after Rajesh Gopinathan’s unexpected resignation. Since then, there have been rumors that there may be significant changes to top leadership.

TCS Fellow and Chief Services Innovation Officer Harrick Vin has spent more than 30 years working in academics and industry, and he has been with TCS for 18 years. He spent 15 years teaching computer sciences at the University of Texas at Austin before joining TCS. He is an IIT Mumbai alumnus and a fellow of the Indian National Academy of Engineering (INAE).

Shankar Narayanan has more than 30 years of experience with TCS and currently holds the position of Senior Vice President. He has held a number of significant positions, including Global Head of the Retail, CPG, Travel & Hospitality Businesses and led Business Excellence & Transformation of Large Accounts at TCS. In addition, Shankar oversaw the UK and Ireland markets for TCS, where he was in charge of business strategy, sales, operations, and delivery in addition to fostering partnerships between executives and clients.

V Rajanna is TCS’s senior vice president and oversees the company’s media, communications, and technology divisions. He has more than 29 years of experience with the company and 32 years of expertise in the IT industry. Rajanna was in charge of the technology business segment before taking on this position. He has also served as the location’s leader in Hyderabad for TCS.

Siva Ganesan is a senior vice president at TCS and the Global Head of the Microsoft business unit. He was previously in charge of TCS’s travel, transportation, and hospitality divisions. He has worked for the Company for more than 32 years and has extensive experience in sales, problem-solving, operations, program management, delivery, and international account management.

Ashok Pai is the worldwide head of TCS’s cognitive business operations (CBO) and a senior vice president at the company. With more than 31 years of industry experience, he has been instrumental in assisting businesses with their transition to the digital economy.

ReguramanAyyaswamy is a senior vice president of TCS and oversees the IoT and digital engineering divisions globally. He is a 38-year industry veteran who has worked in the industry for more than 29 years. For clients in the discrete and process manufacturing industries, he is in charge of developing value-based solutions and services that facilitate rapid product development and integrated manufacturing.

According to the company release, Rajashree R, a former TCS Chief Marketing Officer, will no longer be a SMP effective 31st July 2023.K Ananth Krishnan, the company’s Chief Technology Officer is due to retire and thus ceases to be a SMP w.e.f. 31 July 2023.
