Amur S. Lakshminarayanan Retires As CEO & MD Of Tata Communications

Amur S. Lakshminarayanan has retired as Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director (CEO & MD) of Tata Communications upon completion of his tenure, effective April 13, 2026.

Before joining Tata Communications in October 2019, he spent nearly two decades at TCS. At Tata Consultancy Services, Lakshmi held multiple positions, including President and CEO of TCS Japan from 2014 to 2019, where he led operations and market expansion. He also served as President of the Telecom, Media, HiTech, and Utilities business group, and earlier as Head of Europe and UK & Ireland operations, overseeing business development and client management across regions. He has over 35 years of experience across global leadership roles in technology and telecommunications. Lakshmi holds a degree in mechanical engineering from Birla Institute of Technology and Science (BITS), Pilani, and has completed a senior executive programme at London Business School. His career includes experience in managing large business units and regional markets.
