T.K. Sridhar Appointed As MD Of ABB India, Sanjeev Sharma To Join Board In New Role

ABB India has approved the appointment of T.K. Sridhar as Managing Director (MD) for a five-year term starting January 1, 2027, subject to shareholder approval.

The company’s Board also approved the appointment of Sanjeev Sharma as Non-Executive Non-Independent Director for a two-year term from the same date.

Sridhar currently serves as Chief Financial Officer (CFO) and Head of Investor Relations at ABB India and has been associated with the ABB Group since 1994. Before joining ABB, Sridhar worked with Hindustan Lever between 1991 and 1994. He handled factory accounting at the company’s Silvassa facility and later worked in corporate planning for the detergents business in Mumbai. He has held roles across finance and business operations and has worked on mergers and acquisitions (M&A), governance frameworks, and transformation initiatives. He has spent more than three decades with ABB across India, Asia, and Europe in engineering, operations, and business leadership roles.

Sharma has been associated with ABB for around three decades, holding leadership positions across Europe and Asia. He became Managing Director (MD) of ABB India on January 1, 2016, after previously leading an ABB global business unit with manufacturing operations across 29 countries in the Americas, Europe, and the AMEA region. Apart from ABB India, he also serves on the Boards of ABB Global Industries & Services Pvt. Ltd., ABB Business Services Pvt. Ltd., and Titan Engineering & Automation Ltd. in non-executive roles. An electrical and telecommunications engineer, Sharma has completed management programmes at IMD Business School and INSEAD.
