Suven Life Sciences Reappoints Venkateswarlu Jasti as MD

On May 6, 2024, the Board of Directors of Suven Life Sciences Limited approved the reappointment of Venkateswarlu Jasti as Managing Director (MD) for five years, with effect from November 1, 2024. Subject to the approval of the members.

Venkateswarlu Jasti is the Chairman and CEO (occupying the position of MD) of the company. He was a registered pharmacist in the states of New York and New Jersey, and he owned and operated a chain of six community pharmacies in the states of New York and New Jersey in the USA until 1989. Since 1989, he has been running the operations of Suven. He was also involved in various industrial associations, such as the President of the Indian Pharmaceutical Association and the Chairman of the Local Organising Committee for the 52nd Indian Pharmaceutical Congress in Hyderabad. President of the Indian Pharmaceutical Congress in the year 2015. President of the Bulk Drug Manufacturers Association of India (BDMA) and Chairman of Pharmexcil (Pharmaceutical Export Promotion Council). Also, he has been instrumental as the chief architect for the formation of the then A.P. Chief Minister’s task force for Pharma during 2001 and responsible for the creation of Pharma City at Vizag by the erstwhile Government of Andhra Pradesh and Pharmexcil (Pharmaceutical Export Promotion Council) by the Government of India with HQ at Hyderabad. He holds dual postgraduate (PG) degrees in pharmacy from Andhra University, Visakhapatnam, and St. John’s University, New York, specialising in industrial pharmacy.
