Wipro Appoints Srikumar Rao As Global Head of Engineering Edge

Wipro has appointed Srikumar Rao as the Global Head of its Engineering Edge business line, with effect from October 5, 2024. He will take over from Harmeet Chauhan, who is leaving the company to explore new opportunities.

In his new role, Rao will focus on expanding and enhancing Wipro’s engineering capabilities and will be responsible for shaping the vision and growth strategy for Wipro’s ER&D services business. He will report directly to Srini Pallia.

With 26 years of experience at Wipro, Rao has held various leadership positions, most recently serving as COO of Wipro Engineering Edge (WEE) and global practice head of embedded systems. His extensive experience includes delivering specialised engineering, research, and development (ER&D) services across several markets, including software and internet, semiconductor, automotive, manufacturing, and communications.
