Rajashree Birla To Continue As Director Of Century Enka; Suresh Sodani Reappointed As CEO & MD

Rajashree Birla has been reappointed as Director of Century Enka Limited, effective August 20, 2026.

Further, Suresh Sodani has been reappointed as Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director (CEO & MD) for a further period of two (2) years commencing from April 1, 2027.

Rajashree Birla leads the Aditya Birla Centre for Community Initiatives and Rural Development, the Aditya Birla Group’s apex body for community development and social initiatives. She serves as Chairperson of the FICCI–Aditya Birla CSR Centre for Excellence, Habitat for Humanity India and FICCI’s Expert Committee on CSR. She is also associated with BAIF Development Research Foundation and Gujarat Vidyapith. In 2011, she received the Padma Bhushan for Social Work. Her other honours include the Corporate Citizen of the Year Award and Global Golden Peacock Award for CSR. Birla oversees welfare and development programmes across the Group’s major companies, covering more than 7,000 villages and reaching around 9 million people. The Group’s social initiatives include 20 hospitals and 52 formal and non-formal educational institutions serving more than 1 lakh students.

Before joining Century Enka, Suresh Sodani served as Cluster Manufacturing Head for the Vilayat and Karwar units of Grasim Industries’ Chlor-Alkali business. He contributed to the long-term strategy of the business and led central projects and initiatives. In 2019, he received the Aditya Birla Group Chairman’s Individual Award in the Accomplished Leader category. As MD of Century Enka, he has focused on expanding NTCF capacity, entering PTCF, developing value-added NFY products, modernising operations and investing in renewable energy and safety initiatives. Sodani is a Chartered Accountant and Cost & Management Accountant with over three decades of experience in finance, accounts, IT, logistics, strategic planning, policy formulation and Corporate Governance.
