Welspun Enterprises Appoints Subramanian Madhavan as Independent Director

On March 7, 2024, the Board of Directors of Welspun Enterprises Limited, based on the recommendation of the Nomination and Remuneration Committee, approved the appointment of Mr. Subramanian Madhavan as an Additional Director of the Company in the capacity of Non-Executive Independent Director for his first term of four years, from April 1, 2024, to March 31, 2028. Subject to the approval of the shareholders.

Madhavan, 67, is a fellow member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India, has an MBA from IIM Ahmedabad, and has around 38 years of experience in Accounting, Economics, Finance, Law, Information Technology, Human Resources, Risk Management, Business Management and Banking. He has served as a Senior Partner and Executive Director at PricewaterhouseCoopers for several years and has held several senior positions there. He started his career with Hindustan Unilever Limited, where he spent several years in the 1980s. In addition to this, he has also been the President of the Northern Region of the Indo-American Chamber of Commerce and the Co-Chairman of the Taxation Committee of ASSOCHAM.
He is on various eminent Boards namely Eicher Motors Limited, ICICI Bank Limited, Procter & Gamble Health Limited, Sterlite Technologies Limited, HCL Technologies Limited, etc.
