Walt Disney and Mahindra executives join USISPF’s Board
Officials from Walt Disney and the Mahindra Group have joined the Board of Directors of the US India Strategic and Partnership Forum (USISPF). This move is seen as a testament to the success of American companies in India and the increasing presence of Indian conglomerates in the US, according to an announcement by the USISPF. The newly appointed Directors are Dorothy Attwood, serving as the senior vice president of Global Legal, Policy, and Compliance for The Walt Disney Company, and Amarjyoti (Amar) Barua, holding the position of Executive Vice President (EVP) of Group Strategy at the Mahindra Group.
In her current role, Attwood oversees the international legal and government affairs functions of The Walt Disney Company worldwide, excluding the US. She also leads global strategic public policy initiatives as well as ESG and sustainability efforts across all business segments. Attwood is additionally responsible for the Privacy Legal Department and the Government Ethics and Compliance Group at the enterprise level.
Barua, who assumed the role of EVP of Group Strategy at the Mahindra Group in May 2023, is a member of the Group Executive Board. In his current capacity, Barua is leading the Group Strategy Office and collaborating with the Group’s overall business portfolio for both short- and long-term growth.
