Vir S Advani Appointed as CMD of Blue Star

The Board of Directors of Blue Star Limited have approved the promotion of Vir S Advani as the Chairman of the Board and his redesignation as Chairman and Managing Director with effect from April 1, 2024. The Board has also approved appointment of G Murlidhar and Vipin Sondhi as Additional Directors designated as Independent Directors, for a term of five years with effect from January 30, 2024, subject to the approval of Members of the Company and the Company shall seek the approval of Shareholders.

Vir S Advani, 34, completed a Leadership Development program at Harvard Business School. He has been with the Blue Star Group for ten years, following a two-year job in New York. In 2000, he joined Blue Star Infotech and later founded Blue Star Design & Engineering in 2003, where he became the CEO. In 2007, he became the Vice President of Corporate Affairs at Blue Star Limited, making significant contributions to a company-wide profit improvement program and electro-mechanical projects in a short time. He holds a BS degree in Systems Engineering and a BA degree in Economics from the University of Pennsylvania.
