Vinesh Kumar Jairath Resigns as Independent Director of Bombay Dyeing
Vinesh Kumar Jairath has tendered his resignation as an Independent Director of Bombay Dyeing & Manufacturing Company Limited, with effect from June 17, 2024, due to his present and forthcoming commitments.
Jairath also served as a member of the Audit Committee, Corporate Social Responsibility Committee, Strategic Committee, and Rights Issue Committee, and as Chairman of the Nomination and Remuneration Committee and Risk Management Committee of the company.
Vinesh Kumar Jairath joined the Indian Administrative Service in 1982, serving in senior roles for both the Government of Maharashtra and the Government of India. His positions included Secretary to the Governor of Maharashtra, MD of SICOM, and Principal Secretary (Industries) of Maharashtra. He opted for voluntary retirement in March 2008 and has since worked as an independent consultant. He holds a master’s degree in development economics from the University of Manchester, U.K., and a bachelor’s degree in public administration and law from Punjab University, Chandigarh. Currently, he serves as an Independent Director on the Boards of Tata Motors, Kirloskar Industries, Go Air, and Wockhardt, leveraging over 35 years of expertise.
