Usha S. Nair, Prasanna Tantri & Naresh D. Kella Retire As Independent Directors Of Power Finance Corporation

Usha Sajeev Nair, Prasanna Tantri, and Naresh Dhanrajbhai Kella have retired as Non-Official Independent Directors of Power Finance Corporation Limited, effective April 17, 2026.

Nair is an entrepreneur based in Dadra and Nagar Haveli and Daman & Diu, and runs her own business and is involved in social initiatives focused on support for women, elderly people, homeless individuals, and orphans. She is engaged in activities related to community welfare and advocacy on women’s issues. Alongside her business and social work, she served in governance roles at Power Finance Corporation. She is the chairperson of the Nomination and Remuneration Committee and a member of the Board-level Risk Management Committee and Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Committee. Nair holds a bachelor’s degree in arts and law.

Tantri is a finance academic and researcher. He is an associate professor in finance at the Indian School of Business and serves as executive director of the Centre for Analytical Finance. His research covers banking, financial inclusion, financial contagion, regulation, and the link between politics and finance, with publications in peer-reviewed journals. He also served at Power Finance Corporation as Chairman of the Audit Committee and Board-level Risk Management Committee, and as a member of the Nomination and Remuneration Committee. Tantri holds a B.Com degree from Mangalore University and is a qualified cost accountant. He has completed the Fellow Programme in Management and the Post Graduate Programme in Management from the Indian School of Business and earned a PhD from Deakin University.

Kella is the President of the Zalawad Federation of Trade and Industries in Surendranagar district. He has also been associated with the Rotaract Club District 3060 in a leadership role. He manages the Dhanraj Kella Charitable Trust, which runs activities including a gaushala, student hostel, medical camps, and support for government school students. He is a member of the Gujarat State Fee Revision Committee and has served as a director on the board of Rajkot Nagarik Sahakari Bank Ltd. from 2014 to 2017. He also served at Power Finance Corporation as chairman of the Corporate Social Responsibility Committee and a member of the Audit Committee and Board-level IT Strategy Committee. Kella is a chartered accountant with over 15 years of experience and holds degrees in LL.B and B.Com.
