Uflex Appoints Gopal Pillai As WTD & Reappointed Ashok Chaturvedi As CMD

The shareholders of Uflex Limited have reappointed Ashok Chaturvedi as Chairman and Managing Director with effect from February 1, 2024, for a period of 5 years. Shareholders also approved the appointment of Jeevaraj Gopal Pillai as whole-time Director, with effect from November 2023, for a period of 5 years.

Ashok Chaturvedi is the Chief Promoter of Uflex, who has set up the business himself as a first-generation entrepreneur and has in-depth knowledge of the flexible package business of the company. Chaturvedi has been honoured with many awards and accolades for his significant contribution to the packing industry. He was conferred with the ‘father of flexible packaging’ award at the 1st Global Conference on Plastic and Packing in 2019.

Gopal Pillai has over 34 years of experience in the plastic packaging industry. Besides heading the flexible packaging business, Pillai is also leading the ESG team at UFlex. He has achieved many significant milestones in recycling technology, biodegradable plastics for packaging, etc. He is a BE (Mechanical) of the 1984 batch and an MBA of the 1989 batch.
