Takashi Nakajima Appointed As New President & CEO of Honda Cars India

Takashi Nakajima has been appointed as the new president and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Honda Cars India, effective April 01, 2025. He will succeed Takuya Tsumura, who will return to Japan after completing his tenure in India.

Nakajima joined Honda in 1994 and has over 30 years of experience with the company. He has held key positions across various international markets, including Japan, China, Spain, the Czech Republic, and Russia. He has been serving as the president of Honda Motor Russia since 2021. Tsumura’s leadership in India helped strengthen Honda’s premium brand positioning and led to key model introductions, including the Honda City e:HEV (electric hybrid electric vehicle) and the new global SUV Elevate.
