Susheel Navanale Retires as Britannia CIO; Rejin Surendran Appointed Chief Digital & Information Officer (Designate)

Susheel Navanale, Chief Information Officer (CIO) of Britannia Industries Limited will retire from the services of the company with effect September 30, 2026. Navanale has led global cross-functional teams to drive digital transformations through the creation and execution of IT strategies. Navanale has worked in companies such as IFFCO Group, Tata Consumer Products, and Hindustan Unilever, wherein he achieved cost reduction, enhanced efficiencies, and revenue growth, leading to a competitive edge. He holds a Master’s Degree in Industrial and Management Systems Engineering from Arizona State University and a B.E. from NITK, Surathkal.

The Board of Directors of Britannia Industries on August 31, 2026 has approved the appointment of Rejin Surendran as the Chief Digital and Information Officer (Designate) with effect from September 1, 2026. Surendran will assume the office of Chief Digital and Information Officer of the company with effect from October 1, 2026. He has over 24 years of experience. Prior to joining Britannia, he was working as the Global Chief Information Officer at Wipro Enterprises. Prior to Wipro Ent, he was working as the Head of Digital & ERP CoE at the Bottling Investments Group, Coca-Cola. He also worked for over 13 years at Unilever. He holds an MBA from the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Bombay, and a degree in Electrical & Electronics Engineering from the National Institute of Technology (NIT), Warangal.
