
Subramanian Madhavan To Succeed Suresh Talwar As P&G Health Chairperson
Procter & Gamble Health Limited has appointed Subramanian Madhavan, an Independent Director, as the new Chairperson, effective April 01, 2025. He will be succeeding Suresh Talwar, who will retire upon completing his tenure effective March 31, 2025.
Further, the Board of Directors of the company has approved the appointment of Sharad Tyagi and Krishna Sarma as Non-Executive Independent Directors with effect from April 01, 2025, subject to the approval of the shareholders.
Rani Ajit Jadhav, Independent Director of the company, shall retire from the Board on completion of her second tenure effective March 31, 2025.
S. Madhavan has approximately 37 years of experience in accountancy, economics, finance, law, information technology, human resources, risk management, and business management. He serves as a Director on the Boards of several companies in India. Madhavan is a Chartered Accountant with a master’s degree in business administration from the Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad (IIM-A).
Sharad Tyagi retired as Managing Director (MD) of Boehringer Ingelheim India in 2020 after 11 years. He previously served as Senior Vice President and Global Head of API Marketing, Sales, and Business Development at Dr. Reddy’s and as Country Manager (India) & Director of Strategic Development (Asia) at Engelhard Corporation. He is the CEO and Co-Founder of Tiyash Consulting. Tyagi holds a mechanical engineering degree from Delhi College of Engineering and an MBA from the Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad (IIM-A).
Krishna Sarma is a lawyer with 31 years of experience and the Founder and Managing Partner of Corporate Law Group (CLG). She enrolled with the Bar Council of Delhi in 1993. She has served on the Boards of Ortho Clinical Diagnostics India Pvt. Ltd. and Biogen Idec India. She was an Additional Advocate General for Assam in the Supreme Court (2011-2016) and Standing Counsel for the state (2001-2016). She has held leadership roles in industry bodies, including ASSOCHAM, CII, and the Drug Information Association. Sarma was recognised by the India Corporate Counsel Association as India’s Most Trusted Corporate Lawyer in 2017 and listed among the Top 100 Powerful Women in Law by the World IP Forum the same year. She has also been a board member of the Centre for New Perspectives in Culture and Development. Sarma majored in history from Miranda House, University of Delhi, in 1989 and earned an LLB from Campus Law Centre, University of Delhi, in 1992.
