Star Health founder Venkatasamy Jagannathan resigns

Founder and Director of Star Health Allied Insurance Company, Venkatasamy Jagannathan, resigned from his position on June 11, 2023. Venkatasamy had previously made headlines on May 4 when he stepped down as the CEO of the company. Anand Roy, who was already serving as the company’s managing director, assumed the role of CEO. Until June 10, Venkatasamy held the position of Non-Executive Chairman. Prior to founding Star Health and Allied Insurance, Venkatasamy had a distinguished career as the Chairman and Managing Director of United India Insurance. He established Star Health and Allied Insurance with the support of Dubai-based ETA Group after his superannuation.
