Sridharan Rangarajan appointed MD of Carborundum Universal

Carborundum Universal Ltd (CUMI) appointed Sridharan Rangarajan as Managing Director of the company on 22nd June 2023.

Sridharan has more than three decades of experience in various fields like banking, manufacturing, contracting, service, and distribution businesses. He has extensive cross-cultural work experience across the US, Europe, the Middle East, and Asia. He has worked with renowned firms such as ABB, IDBI, LG Electronics, Trane Inc. USA, and Timken. He has been with the Murugappa Group from June 2011 as the Chief Financial Officer of CUMI until January 2018, when he was appointed President and Group CFO of the Murugappa Group. He is currently the Director-Finance and Strategy at CUMI, where he oversees the finance and strategy divisions. He was also instrumental in the Company’s recent significant local and international acquisitions. Sridharan is a graduating member of India’s Institute of Cost Accountants. He has a Bachelor of Commerce degree from Madurai University.

Sridharan Rangarajan replaces N Ananthaseshan as the Managing Director.
