SML Isuzu Appoints Ryusuke Miyake & Takahiro Jitosho as Independent Directors

The Board of Directors of SML Isuzu Limited has approved the appointment of Ryusuke Miyake, subject to the issue of DIN by the Ministry of Corporate Affairs (MCA), as Additional Director (Category: Non-Executive Non-Independent Director) with effect from April 2024. He replaced Masaki Morohoshi.

The Board has also approved the appointment of Takahiro Jitosho, subject to the issue of DIN by the MCA and approval of the shareholders, as Additional Director (Category: Non-Executive Non-Independent Director) with effect from April 2024. He replaced Takuro Horikoshi.

Furthermore, the Board has approved the reappointment of M.S. Ramta, a Senior Management Personnel of the company, as ED-Works for one year with effect from June 1, 2024. Approved the elevation of Rakesh Bhalla, CFO and KMP of the company, to a higher grade and extended his tenure as CFO and KMP of the company up to May 31, 2026. Bhalla’s existing tenure is up to May 31, 2025.

Ryusuke Miyake joined Sumitomo Corporation, Japan, in April 1990 and since then has held several positions in various departments and companies, including the Motor Vehicles Department in Tokyo, the Liaison Office in Luanda & Damascus, the Market Department in the Automotive Division Europe, the Market Department-Middle East & Africa, the Automotive Sales & Marketing Department-Tokyo, the Transportation & Construction System Division-Bangkok, the Mobility Business Division-Tokyo, Toyota Ukraine, Toyota Canarias, etc. Presently, he is Corporate Officer at Mobility Business Division 1, Sumitomo Corporation (Japan). He has 34 years of rich and global experience in various departments and companies.

Takahiro Jitosho joined Sumitomo Corporation, Japan, in April 2000 and since then has held several positions in various departments and companies, including the Steel Sheet & Strip International Trade Department (Tokyo), Sumisho Steel Corporation, Sumiputeh Steel Centre (Kuala Lumpur), Steel Sheet and Tubular Products for Automotive Industries Department (Tokyo), Flat Rolled & Wire Steel Department (Sumitomo Deutschland), Automotive Steel Sheet Products Business Department (Tokyo), Sumitomo Corporation Global Metals Co. Ltd., Corporate Planning & Coordination Department (Tokyo) and Tubular Product Division (Tokyo), etc. Presently, he is the corporate officer at Tubular Product Division, Sumitomo Corporation (Japan). He has 24 years of rich and global experience in various roles.
