Shyam Shankar Set To Succeed N. Ganesh As CFO Of Cholamandalam Financial Holdings

Shyam Shankar has been appointed as the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) of Cholamandalam Financial Holdings Limited, with effect from June 15, 2026. He will succeed N. Ganesh, who has resigned due to his other professional commitments and will step down with effect from June 14, 2026.

Shankar is currently serving as Executive Vice President (EVP) of Finance at Cholamandalam Investment and Finance Company Ltd. Previously, he has served as Assistant VP of Finance at BankBazaar.com, as Assistant General Manager (AGM) of Finance at Cholamandalam Investment, and as Audit Manager at several other companies. He is a qualified Chartered Accountant and Cost Accountant. He has more than two decades of experience in finance leadership roles within regulated financial services organisations. He has worked across financial reporting, audit governance, internal financial controls, and investor relations, with experience in managing compliance and regulatory frameworks.

Ganesh is the CFO and Manager of Cholamandalam Financial Holdings. He serves on the Boards of Redington Ltd., ProConnect Supply Chain Solutions Ltd., and Redserv Global Solutions Ltd. He has more than 27 years of experience in the financial services sector, with expertise in corporate accounting, treasury management, taxation, and audit processes. He has been associated with Cholamandalam Financial Holdings in senior finance and management roles and was reappointed for multiple terms during his tenure with the company. Ganesh is a qualified Chartered Accountant, Cost and Works Accountant, and Company Secretary.
