Shanti Kumar Jain Retires As Independent Director Of Share India Securities

Shanti Kumar Jain has retired as a Non-Executive Independent Director of Share India Securities Limited upon attaining the age of 75, effective August 27, 2026.

Jain is a former DGP of Chandigarh Police and a retired 1980-batch IPS officer of the AGMUT cadre, with over four decades of public service experience. He joined the Rajasthan Administrative Services in 1979 before entering the IPS. During his career, he held senior positions including DCP, DIG, IG, DGP and Special Commissioner of Police across various organisations and regions. Jain received the President’s Police Medal for Meritorious Services in 1998 and for Distinguished Services in 2005. After retiring from the police service, he served on the Public Grievances Commission and the Police Complaints Authority of the Government of NCT of Delhi. He was also nominated as a non-official member of the National Foundation for Communal Harmony. Jain is associated with literary, research and non-governmental organisations.
