Shankar Vasantarao Pinge And Dr. D. V. Guruprasad Appointed As Independent Directors Of VRL Logistics

Shankar Vasantarao Pinge and Dr. D. V. Guruprasad have been appointed as Independent Directors of VRL Logistics Limited w.e.f. February 19, 2025, according to the passing of a special resolution through postal ballot.

Vasantrao Pinge worked with the State Bank of India from 1984 to 1989 and joined M/s. Saraf Associates, Chartered Accountants, Mumbai, in 1989 after qualifying as a Chartered Accountant. He was associated with the firm until 2002, serving in various roles. In 2002, he established his practice under M/s. S. V. Pinge & Co. His expertise includes taxation, audit, and finance, focusing on internal controls and audit system formulation. He graduated in commerce from Karnataka University, Dharwad, in 1981. He is a member of The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India, New Delhi.

Dr. D. V. Guruprasad joined the Indian Police Service in 1976. He served as Superintendent of Police in multiple districts of Karnataka, Commissioner of Police at Hubli-Dharwad, and Director General of Police for the Gulbarga Range. He held leadership roles in the State CID, Intelligence Wings, and CISF. After retiring in 2011, he served as CEO of the M.S. Ramaiah Group and continues to contribute to academia and mentoring. He graduated with a B.Sc. from Bangalore University and completed a master’s in English literature from Karnatak University, Dharwad. He earned a Ph.D. in English Literature from Gulbarga University for his thesis on Indian Writing in English.
