Seema Kumar gets Additional Charge as CMD, IRCTC

Effective from June 1, 2023, Seema Kumar, Railway Board’s Additional Member (Tourism & Catering)has been given additional charge of Chairman and Managing Director of the Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation (IRCTC). An officer of the Indian Railway Traffic Service (IRTS) from the 1986 batch, Seema brings a remarkable background to her new role.Having achieved a Gold Medal in M.Sc. (Physics) from Chaudhary Charan Singh University, Meerut, and an M. Tech. from IIT Delhi. She has also participated in leadership programs from prestigious institutions such as SDA Bocconi Institute in Milan, Italy, and the Indian Institute of Management in Bangalore.

With an extensive career spanning over 35 years in the Indian Railways, Seema has held various senior positions across Northern and West Central Railways. Notable roles include Principal Chief Safety Officer, Chief Commercial Manager/Passenger Services, Divisional Railway Manager, and General Manager/Passenger Reservation System.

In addition to this Kamlesh Kumar Mishra has been named the Executive Director of IRCTC, commencing on June 1, 2023.
